For
students who require adaptive devices, or accommodations such as:

Auditory
Trainers for the hearing impaired and ADHD students.

proximity to front of room for hearing impaired and ADHD students so
he/she can be closer to the teacher and any class-presented visual
aids/presentations

For
students with hearing impairments, proximity also helps with lip
reading.

Printed
Handouts of the Webquest and other documents, checklists, and
rubrics may also be handed out for students with hearing or visual
impairment.

Graphics
Tablet (an alternate input device) with new words and pictures for
new terms that will be found on the Webquest can be provided.

Alpha
Smart with new terms for this lesson already entered for the
students with ADHD and Tourette's syndrome.

Computer
modifications for a student with CP could include: alternative
keyboards, sticky keys, slow keys, and a mouse with a headset like
device so that the student could convey directions to the computer
by moving his/her head. A scanning system adjusted to the student's
needs would present him/her with an array of letters, phrases, and
numerals so that he could select a message from the screen. This
would help him/her be heard more easily in the group and class.

Speech
teacher, Special Ed Teacher, or teacher's aide will assist the
students who require assistance as per their IEPs or 504s. These
professionals are some of the Principals of an Effective
Collaborative team.

The SMART Board™ Interactive Whiteboard could also be used to project
copy of handouts/checklists, rubrics and other documents for visual
support for disabled students (ADHD, Autistic, Hearing Loss, CP) and as
benefit to all students.
